"nothing tastes as good as skinny feels."
"If you're beautiful on the inside, it will show on the outside." "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels." These strong words of Kate Moss have been floating around since the day she said them in an interview. Her words have been posted on pro-anorexia websites, promoting starvation. Well Kate Moss, if you think nothing tastes as good as skinny feels, you obviously haven't eaten enough to realize that food is DELICIOUS. Especially chocolate. So maybe you should try eating sometime and let me know how it goes.

She obviously has a problem. Starving one's self seems to be a very unhealthy habit. But, over-eating is not necessarily healthy either. Some food out there is very bad for the consumer and it is processed. There exists a happy medium, I am sure.
ReplyDelete"Nothing tastes as good as good as skinny feels" Those are definitely some loaded words there. I'm thin and I LOVE chocolate mousse
ReplyDeleteI think what you are doing with this blog is very interesting and I especially like that you are naming names of those advertisers/spokespeople/models who promote unhealthy body images as well as naming names of those who promote healthy body images. Wouldn't it be cool if someone with Kate Moss' stature could be quoted describing the wonders of eating, sharing, growing and cooking food?? Maybe that someone should be you?
ReplyDeleteI am not sure if you just heard me from about 10 feet away from you but I just expressed my shocked to Rachel about the idea of a "pro anorexia" website. I didn't even know those existed. That is just disturbing in so many ways. It is also slightly unnerving that Kate Moss said that. How could anyone promote starvation?
ReplyDeleteOh! And you should link to one of these websites cause now I'm all curious!
ReplyDeleteThat's so sad that people live actually believing things like that! The problem is that the girls who live thinking you have to be skinny to be beautiful don't value themselves as anything but stick figures. They do anything to get skinny and remain looking disgustingly thin, because in their mind that's all they have going for them. I feel sorry for those girls, they put so much unnecessary pressure on themselves!
